Hybrid Policy: Monday - Thursday onsite, Friday work from home.
Based in Dallas, TX, and reporting to the Sr. Manager Supply Chain Analytics, the Business Insights Analyst will develop, build, and transform corporate-wide analytics and BI projects that drive significant value across all functional areas of the FleetPride organization.
Essential Tasks
- Develop, enhance, and implement business intelligence and analytics solutions by gaining deep expertise in data structures, transformation methods, analytical approaches, and visualization techniques.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and HR—to address business challenges and identify opportunities for efficiency and growth.
- Build, maintain, and monitor critical KPIs and standard operational and financial metrics that enable performance tracking and continuous improvement.
- Introduce creative approaches to solving complex business challenges using the organization’s core analytics and BI toolset.
- Collaborate closely with IT to align on technical standards, KPI and metric definitions, and the design and deployment of analytics-driven business solutions.
Qualifications
Education and Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience required.
Problem Solving and Business Acumen
- Strong ability to translate complex technical insights into clear, actionable business recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex information into key messages for a variety of audiences, from technical peers to senior executives.
- Prior leadership experience—whether formal management or informal team guidance—is a plus and may create additional opportunities for advancement within the role.
Data Analysis and Business Intelligence
- Proficiency in applying analytical methods to solve business problems, with awareness of when different approaches are most effective.
- Working knowledge of standard statistical and/or analytical techniques (e.g., clustering, regression, forecasting) preferred.
- A collaborative mindset within a diverse analytics team is expected, with openness to learning and cross-training across multiple analytics domains.
Tools and Technical Skills
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel required.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server for data extraction, transformation, and query optimization.
- Proficiency in business intelligence platforms, including Microsoft Power BI (preferred) and exposure to others such as Tableau, Qlik, or Looker for data modeling, dashboard development, and reporting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric is highly desirable.
- Exposure to additional data integration tools (e.g., SSIS, Power Query) is a plus.
