About The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Java Developer with 3 to 8 years of professional experience to join our growing remote development team in the UK. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and performant Java-based applications. This is a remote-first role that values independence, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy robust Java applications using modern frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product managers.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
- Debug and resolve production issues and provide post-deployment support.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software engineering practices.
Key Requirements:
- 3–8 years of hands-on experience in Java development (Java 8+).
- Strong experience with Spring Framework, especially Spring Boot.
- Good understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
