UX/UI Designer (Mid-weight)
£38,000 to £45,000 + Benefits
Manchester City Centre - Hybrid (1-2 days onsite)
My client are known for "Transforming Healthcare, for the better!", and are seeking someone with 2–4 years of experience, confident in their design abilities and eager to keep learning and growing. You should enjoy digging into the details, designing user flows, crafting polished UIs, and iterating quickly, while being open to feedback and mentorship.
What You’ll Do
- Translate complex user and business requirements into clear, intuitive interfaces.
- Work across the entire design process: from low-fidelity wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes and final UI.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure smooth handoff and implementation, with a solid understanding of HTML/CSS and responsive design.
- Contribute to and help maintain our evolving multi-brand design system.
- Support ad-hoc design needs across the company (e.g. internal decks, marketing assets, website updates).
- Communicate your ideas clearly and present your work confidently to cross-functional teams, including senior stakeholders.
Who You Are
- Experience: 2–4 years of UX/UI design experience, ideally in tech or start-up environments (not essential though).
- Portfolio: Strong portfolio that demonstrates interaction design, visual design, and problem-solving skills.
- Tools: Proficient in Figma (bonus if you’ve used tools like Miro).
- Systems Thinker: Experience contributing to and working within design systems.
- Detail-Oriented: Skilled at turning complex ideas into clean, usable interfaces.
- Technical Awareness: Comfortable with responsive design and the basics of HTML/CSS.
- Collaborative: Happy to pitch in on smaller tasks and iterate quickly.
- Domain Experience: Healthcare background is a plus, but not required.
