Software Developer (Internship) – Early-Stage Startup

We’re a new startup quietly building a digital platform to support the way musicians connect directly with their audiences. With a strong creative ethos and innovative approach, we’re preparing for our public launch and are looking for a Software Developer to join our small, passionate team.

This role offers flexibility, initially as an unpaid internship, with potential to grow alongside the company.

About the Role:

• Collaborate closely with our founder and development team to develop and refine our core web and mobile application (React / React Native).
• Assist in building key platform features, including digital payment integrations, user accounts, artist discovery tools, and interactive user experiences.
• Participate actively in strategic discussions around product direction, feature prioritization, and technical architecture.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to help scale the platform post-launch.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js and React/React Native.
• Familiarity with integrating APIs and working with cloud environments (AWS, Vercel, etc.).
• Comfortable working independently in a dynamic startup environment, with good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Must be based in Brisbane with the ability to regularly work from our office (live music venue/studio), though WFH arrangements are negotiable for the right candidate.
• An interest in music, independent arts, or creator-focused platforms is highly valued.
