Job Title: GenAI Solutions Engineer (Azure)

Employment Type: Freelance 12 month contract

About the Role

Our client is looking for a GenAI Solutions Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of professional, hands-on experience in Azure-based data engineering, AI application development, and cloud infrastructure. This is not a graduate or entry-level role; we’re seeking someone who has already delivered real-world solutions and is ready to take ownership of impactful AI projects.

You will design, build, and deploy advanced Generative AI applications on Azure that transform business processes, enhance decision-making, and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and AI agent-based applications on Azure.
• Integrate and optimize LLM-powered tools within business workflows.
• Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and robust Azure-based data architectures.
• Ensure data reliability and performance for AI-driven use cases.
• Architect and manage secure, scalable Azure cloud environments that support AI workloads.
• Apply best practices in cost efficiency, monitoring, and governance.
• Translate business needs into high-impact technical solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to bring AI innovations into production.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience in a data engineering, AI engineering, or cloud engineering role (not including internships or academic projects).
• Hands-on experience with Azure services (Azure Machine Learning, Data Factory, Synapse, Cognitive Search, etc.).
• Proven ability to deliver production-grade GenAI applications (RAG, AI agents, or similar).
• Strong programming skills in Python (or a similar language) and familiarity with modern AI/ML frameworks.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture, security, and scaling best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience fine-tuning or deploying LLMs on Azure.
• Background in enterprise-scale data integration.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices.
