Brussels (Hybrid – 50% Remote)

Duration: 4-Year Contract

Languages required English (C1) + French or Dutch (C2)

We’re seeking a skilled Network and Security Engineer to support the design, configuration, and management of secure network infrastructures in a large-scale enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and evolve secure network architectures.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, proxies, and network security features.
• Troubleshoot network and application flow issues.
• Represent the network team in technical meetings and cross-functional collaborations.
• Produce technical documentation, procedures, and project reports.
• Manage daily operations of firewall, proxy, and network infrastructure.
• Support network segmentation and secure internet-facing services.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years in complex IT environments as a network engineer.
• Strong understanding of security policies and architectural translation.
• Fluent in English and French or Dutch.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Experience with network segmentation and secure service implementation.

Technical Expertise

• Palo Alto PanOS (IDS/IPS, decryption, sandboxing, PCNSE preferred)
• Cisco (Umbrella, ISE, WiFi, IPSec)
• Algosec (Firewall Analyzer, Fireflow, SNOW integration)
• Automation Tools (Terraform, GitLab, Ansible)
• Deep knowledge of protocols: IPv4/6, HTTP(S), SSH, SSL/TLS, BGP, SNMP, LDAP, Radius, HSRP/VRRP
