DevOps Engineer

Amesan Consulting is recruiting on behalf of its client, a Finnish software and consulting company specializing in digital solutions for the water and energy sectors. The company develops innovative SaaS products that help utilities and city organizations optimize infrastructure operations more efficiently and sustainably. With operations in over 20 countries, the company combines international reach with a collaborative, agile culture.

We are now looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the team.

Your role

In this position, you will take ownership of DevOps practices and support the entire development process by ensuring smooth, reliable, and scalable software delivery. While a background in backend development is useful, this is not an application development role. Your focus will be on infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and enabling teams to deliver high-quality software faster.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and improve GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
• Develop and maintain efficient software delivery processes
• Support product teams by ensuring deployment reliability and scalability
• Contribute to building and evolving SaaS products and related infrastructure
• Collaborate closely with distributed teams to ensure smooth workflows

What we expect from you

• Strong experience in DevOps practices and tooling (especially GitLab CI/CD)
• Previous background in software development, with a transition into DevOps
• Solid understanding of software delivery lifecycles
• Experience with SaaS products is a strong advantage
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English — essential in a distributed team environment
• Ability to work effectively across teams, avoiding misunderstandings in remote collaboration
