About us:
We are seeking a IntelliJ Platform Plugin Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom plugins that extend JetBrains IDEs (IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, WebStorm, Rider, etc.). The ideal candidate has strong Java/Kotlin development skills, a deep understanding of the IntelliJ Platform SDK, and experience building tools that enhance developer productivity.
Key responsabilities;
- Design, implement, and maintain IntelliJ Platform plugins using Java/Kotlin.
- Work with the IntelliJ SDK and Gradle IntelliJ Plugin for build, testing, and deployment.
- Develop custom IDE features such as actions, tool windows, code inspections, completion, and refactoring support.
- Integrate with external APIs, frameworks, and developer workflows.
- Write clear, maintainable code following best practices.
- Ensure plugin compatibility with multiple JetBrains IDE versions.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Publish and maintain plugins on the JetBrains Marketplace.
Requirments;
- Strong proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
- Experience with the IntelliJ Platform SDK or other plugin development.
- Familiarity with Gradle and plugin publishing workflows.
- Solid understanding of IDEs, developer tools, and software development lifecycles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Nice to Have;
- Experience with building developer tools (linters, compilers, static analyzers).
- Knowledge of additional JVM or web technologies (Spring, React, TypeScript).
- Contributions to open-source IntelliJ plugins or JetBrains projects.
