We are currently seeking a Global Data Governance Officer in Slovenia in an agile/ hybrid capacity.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

IFF’s Digital team is looking for a proactive Global Data Governance Officer to help establish and maintain our Data Governance Organization. Reporting to the Director of Data Governance, you’ll collaborate with Data Owners and Stewards, support governance implementation, deliver training, and act as an advisor on data-related matters across the Taste organization.

• Ensure data quality and governance by designing and implementing quality checks, identifying issues, and driving timely remediation.
• Support governance frameworks and policies through continuous improvement, organizing council meetings, preparing agendas, and ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment on data requirements and deliverables.
• Monitor and maintain data quality via audits, metadata verification, and up-to-date data catalogs; deliver training sessions and promote a data-driven culture.
• Integrate governance tools with IT processes by collaborating with DTS (Digital Technology Solutions) teams, maintaining documentation, and ensuring dashboards and reports reflect governance KPIs for informed decision-making.
  
  

What Makes You The Right Fit

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Management, Information Systems, or Information Governance.
• We welcome fresh university graduates with the right educational background or candidates with a couple of years of corporate experience in a data governance role.
• Knowledge of data management principles; familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK is a plus.
• Experience with Snowflake and Atlan.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, will help you succeed in this role.
