As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our travel marketplace. You will work closely with analysts, data scientists, and product teams to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and scalable—enabling smarter decision-making across the company.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to collect, process, and transform data from multiple sources.
- Build and optimize scalable data architectures for analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases.
- Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency across systems.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for data processes to guarantee high availability.
- Automate workflows and optimize performance for large-scale data processing.
- Contribute to the evolution of our data platform, experimenting with new tools and technologies.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Golang (experience with both is a plus).
- Solid SQL expertise and familiarity with relational and analytical databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, TimescaleDB, DuckDB, AWS Athena).
- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and best practices for data warehousing.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and storage systems.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
