🚀 UST is looking for the very Top Talent…and we would be delighted if you were to join our family!
More in details, UST is a multinational company based in North America, certified as a Top Employer and Great Place to Work company with over 35.000 employees all over the world and presence in more than 35 countries. We are leaders on digital technology services, and we provide large-scale technologic solutions to big companies.
🔎 What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Android Technical Lead, working close to one of our main clients in banking sector.
📋 Main tasks and accountabilities will be:
- Lead the design and development of our fully native Android applications, built leveraging a Server Driven UI and a Micro App Architecture approach.
- Partner with the engineering manager and senior engineers to evaluate technical risks, shape architectural decisions, and define long-term technical strategy for Android.
- Act as a technical leader and mentor, guiding and coaching engineers across the mobile team, and ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and architecture.
- Lead large-scale version migrations and rollout strategies, including planning, staged deployments, impact analysis, and ensuring successful adoption across the full user base.
- Collaborate closely with design teams using Figma, ensuring smooth handoff, alignment with the design system, and consistent user experiences across the app.
💡 What UST expects from you?
- +10 years of experience working with Android.
- Deep expertise in Kotlin and the modern Android ecosystem (Jetpack, Android Studio, JUnit, Espresso, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Server Driven UI — designing, implementing, and scaling SDUI-based applications.
- Strong knowledge of Micro App Architecture — understanding how to structure, modularize, and scale mobile apps across teams and features.
- Experience integrating and managing CMS-driven dynamic content — ensuring text and copy can be delivered and updated seamlessly from backend content systems.
- Proven experience leading large-scale mobile app migrations — deploying completely new versions, planning and executing staged rollouts, monitoring impact, and ensuring full adoption across a large user base.
- Experience collaborating with designers in Figma, and working with component libraries/design systems to ensure consistency, reusability, and scalability of UI elements.
- Pragmatic approach to third-party libraries — carefully evaluating, justifying, and limiting their use to maintain performance, security, and long-term maintainability.
- Deep knowledge of Android pipelines, CI/CD, and test automation — with the ability to streamline pipelines, stabilize flaky test suites, reduce build failures, and enforce reliable release automation.
- Experience defining target architectures and making key technical decisions that balance scalability, performance, and developer productivity.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, inspire, and grow less experienced engineers.
- Enthusiasm for cloud technologies (AWS preferred) and how they can integrate with mobile systems.
- Excellent communication skills to align with cross-functional stakeholders and maximize collaboration across engineering.
- Strong advocate for engineering excellence through practices such as Pair Programming, TDD, and BDD.
- Good english level (C1) you will be working with international teams.
Desired Skills:
- Prior experience leading teams in a regulated or highly complex environment.
- Hands-on exposure to AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and mobile DevOps practices.
- Experience solving challenging, real-world mobile performance and scalability problems.
