Mid Software Engineer (MEAN/MERN) @MMCTech

We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Software Engineer with a solid grasp of MEAN/MERN stack technologies to join us in Cluj-Napoca, Romania at our EMEA Technology Hub. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing innovative software solutions.

We will count on you to

• Design and develop robust software solutions in line with Oliver Wyman's strategic direction;
• Collaborate with a team of engineers, contributing to the mentoring of junior staff;
• Uphold high standards of code quality and participate in the establishment of best practices;
• Stay informed and share information about technological trends to enhance the team's capabilities.
  
  

What You Need To Have

• Excellent communication both in English and Romanian
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Portfolio of completed projects can be considered as the alternative to the formal education;
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development with a focus on MERN/MEAN Stack technologies;
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, Express.js, Angular, SQL and NoSQL DB’s;
• Experience with GitHub for version control and CI/CD;
• Good understanding of system design, Agile methodologies, and the software development lifecycle;
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and provide guidance to junior engineers;
• Effective communication skills to clearly convey technical concepts to team members and stakeholders;
• Capacity to take on supervisory responsibilities in project tasks and support team leads;
• Good practical knowledge of cloud solutions (AWS preferred) and certification in this area would be a plus.;
• If no certification is present, achieving the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certificate in first months of work will be a requirement for success.
