At Daikon AI, we’re building the first-of-its-kind AI platform to transform quality assurance in Life Sciences. Our mission is to achieve 10x productivity gains for quality teams by 2030.

We are looking for a Backend Engineer who thrives on ownership, architectural thinking, and technical mastery. You’ll lead the design and development of our app/backend platform, shaping a system used by some of the most innovative and impactful industries in the world. A key part of your role will be integrating advanced AI capabilities into the solution, enabling quality teams to move faster, work smarter, and achieve breakthrough productivity gains. 

Contract: At least 20 hours per week with an opportunity to join full-time in the future.

Location: Preferably Poland, but will consider other locations for the right candidate. Fully remote

What You’ll Do

• Own and lead the development of our app/backend layer
• Optimize system design for performance, scale, and reliability
• Integrate new features and external systems (databases, ML models, frontend services)
• Collaborate closely with teammates in daily standups and feature planning
• Document your work with clarity and precision, enabling others to build on it

What You Bring

• 5+ years of hands-on backend experience and deep mastery of your craft
•  Fluent in Python & OOP, with strong experience in FastAPI (or similar frameworks)
•  Integration skills across relational/vector databases, frontend, and ML pipelines
• Big Plus: Experience with ML/LLM integration in production systems
