On behalf of Huawei, a world-renowned it and communications company, We are seeking an IT Resident Engineer with strong technical and stakeholder management skills to support critical ICT and telecom infrastructure projects. The role involves close collaboration with customers, internal teams, and vendors, focusing on DWDM, IP Datacom, and emerging technologies such as AI and automation. Fresh graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in IT or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the on-site interface between customers, internal teams, and vendors.
- Manage customer expectations, provide technical consultancy, and resolve escalations.
- Conduct project reviews, technical workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
Project Planning & Execution
- Define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Assist in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Support full project lifecycle execution using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams on telecom and ICT deployments.
Technical Delivery
- Support projects involving DWDM, IP Core/Datacom, and telecom infrastructure.
- Assist in the design, deployment, and monitoring of IP/MPLS networks, fiber optics, and data center solutions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues to ensure network reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve service delivery.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare reports on milestones, risks, KPIs, and project financials for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with telecom regulations, cybersecurity policies, and company standards.
- Contribute to governance frameworks for tracking project health and risk mitigation.
Team Support & Development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, supporting knowledge transfer and capability building.
- Promote industry best practices (Agile, DevOps, ITIL).
- Participate in continuous learning and technical training initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years’ experience in DWDM / IP Datacom / Telecom infrastructure.
- Understanding of IP Core, MPLS, fiber optics, or data center concepts preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in multi-vendor, multicultural environments.
