Role Overview
As a Data Scientist specializing in banking technology, you will leverage large volumes of structured and unstructured financial data to design and implement machine learning models, extract actionable insights, and enhance the predictive capabilities of fintech products. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams to embed data-driven decision-making into every layer of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and deploy machine learning models for use cases such as credit scoring, fraud detection, risk analytics, and customer segmentation
- Analyze transactional, behavioral, and demographic banking data to derive insights and support product development
- Collaborate with software engineers and data engineers to integrate models into scalable cloud-based systems
- Conduct A/B testing and experiment analysis to optimize data-driven features
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable business recommendations
- Design and maintain data pipelines and support the development of a centralized data lake
- Stay current on data science and fintech trends, tools, and compliance standards (e.g., PSD2, Open Banking)

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in data science roles, preferably within fintech or banking sectors
- Proficient in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, etc.) and SQL; familiarity with R is a plus
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, time series modeling, and predictive analytics
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and MLOps tools
- Understanding of financial data, banking operations, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
