Cloud Consultant

We require an AWS Platform Lead and seeking suitably qualified candidates to apply to us.

We’re looking for an experienced AWS Platform Lead to own the onboarding of new AWS accounts and workloads into our enterprise AWS Landing Zone. Built on AWS Control Tower and aligned with CIS Benchmarks and AWS Foundational Security Best Practices, our environment underpins the secure, scalable growth of our cloud footprint.

In this role, you’ll be the key liaison between application teams, cloud engineering, and security — ensuring every new AWS account is provisioned, secured, and operationally ready.

What You’ll Do

Lead the Onboarding Process

• Manage AWS account onboarding from intake to production readiness.
• Partner with application and business teams to gather requirements and timelines.
• Coordinate with Cloud Engineering, Security, Networking, and DevOps for configurations and approvals.

Provision & Configure Accounts

• Oversee account creation using Control Tower Account Factory.
• Enforce baseline controls (GuardDuty, Security Hub, IAM Identity Center, CloudTrail, etc.) via Infrastructure as Code.
• Validate VPC, Transit Gateway, and network restrictions before go-live.

Ensure Compliance & Security

• Verify adherence to CIS and AWS Foundational Security Best Practices.
• Facilitate security reviews and drive remediation where required.

Communicate & Document

• Serve as the primary point of contact for onboarding-related questions.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base content for self-service.

Drive Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Work with DevOps to embed pipelines for faster, consistent account setup.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years in enterprise IT operations, cloud service delivery, or project management (AWS preferred).
• Deep understanding of AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations, IAM, networking, and AWS security services.
• Familiarity with CIS Benchmarks, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and cloud security standards.
• Strong workflow management and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Bonus Points For:

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Security and compliance expertise (IAM, Security Hub, AWS Config).
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or other relevant AWS certifications.
