What you’ll do:
- Designing and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs) using SFT, PEFT/LoRA/QLoRA, distillation, and implementing RLHF/DPO/RLAIF with defined reward models and feedback pipelines.
- Building evaluation frameworks for task quality, grounding, robustness, safety (toxicity, bias, privacy), including offline and online A/B testing with guardrail metrics.
- Retrieval-augmented workflows, agentic patterns, policy-driven tool use, safe function calling, memory/state management, and resilient fallbacks under guardrails.
- Demonstrate strong consulting skills with a focus on responsible AI practices, threat modelling, privacy and ethics compliance in the Australian context, and effective client collaboration for Proof of Concept (PoC) and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) delivery.
- Strong Deep learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) skills with PyTorch (or JAX), Transformers, PEFT/LoRA/QLoRA, and fundamentals in probability, statistics, and experimental design.
- Experienced in building and maintaining evaluation suites for quality, robustness, bias/toxicity, and jailbreak resistance with offline and online testing.
- Proficient in Python programming.
- Optional expertise in retrieval (hybrid search, rerankers), knowledge graphs, policy-driven agentic workflows, and privacy-preserving Machine Learning (ML) techniques.
