Infrared City is a start-up, freshly spun off the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT). Infrared City makes environmental simulations accessible to architects, designers and urban decision makers. Using state-of-the-art deep learning models, we predict simulation results in real-time, revolutionising environmental design and architecture with unprecedented speed to insight. Your main focus will be the scaling of our infrastructure and the CI/CD pipelines in multiple environments across the organisation. While our infrastructure is based on AWS, you will take charge in building cloud agnostic infrastructure. You will be directly working with and reporting to our CTO. We are currently a small team, that is constantly growing and you will be at the very core.

• Deploy and scale AI models
• Deploy and manage a fleet or micro-services
• Monitor and manage load and scaling on our entire platform
• Set up CI/CD for multiple services and products
• Set and maintain high quality standards and processes

Essential skills:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• System Design expertise
• Deep knowledge of AWS and GCP.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Deployment of AI models at scale (preferably using NVIDIA Triton).
• Advanced Terraform and IaC tools skills.
• Proven track record with observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Experience with Github Actions.
• Strong Linux admin and scripting/automation skills.
• Working in Agile environments.

Nice to have:

• Experience in backend development in languages such as Python, C#, NodeJS, Go or Rust.
• Serverless framework knowledge.
• Release-please action.
• Experience with No-SQL and SQL databases.
• Understanding of Machine Learning processes and MLOps
