- We are seeking a skilled full-time Backend Software Engineer to maintain, enhance, and extend our REST-like web server built with Java.
- You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our backend systems while collaborating closely with front-end developers and product teams.
- Design, develop, and document new backend features and services.
- Optimize server performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with front-end applications and third-party APIs.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and robustness.
- Participate in code reviews, propose technical improvements, and follow best practices in API design and security.
- Strong proficiency in Java.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API principles and HTTP protocols.
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks.
- Experience with Git and Maven.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative environment
