Senior Platform Engineer (m/f/x)

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Senior Platform Engineer with a demonstrated passion for technology. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain the foundational platforms and tools that enable product teams to develop, deploy, and operate software efficiently and reliably.
You’ll focus on creating a scalable, secure, and developer-friendly platform that abstracts infrastructure complexity, streamlines workflows, and improves developer experience.
This position requires deep technical expertise, a product-thinking mindset, and the ability to work autonomously in a distributed environment. You will collaborate closely with developers and other platform team members to deliver solutions that empower teams to move fast with confidence, while ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of the infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud platforms.
- Drive technical leadership, setting direction for platform development.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
- Enhance observability, reliability, and automation across systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve developer experience.
- Promote and implement security best practices across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Platform Engineer, focusing on managing and optimizing cloud environments.
- 5+ years working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a production environment.
- Strong expertise in containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation).
- Solid understanding of networking, cloud security, and modern infra best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (Bash, Python).
- Strong product mindset with a focus on usability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote/distributed setup.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GitOps practices & tooling.
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
- Experience with observability frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- Background in relational database administration.
- Hands-on with provisioning tools (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Salt).
- Knowledge of advanced networking tools (iptables, traceroute, nmap, tcpdump).
- Strong interest in documentation, operational excellence, and DevEx innovation.
