Cuebiq is Italy's only true Big Data product company: we gather, analyze, engineer and visualize 5 billion GPS positions per day, with the mission of providing unique business insights and offline analytics to our clients through our SaaS Platform.
Our Products help brands improve their marketing strategies and better market their products and services.
We are an élite team of young, passionate, talented and friendly data professionals.
As our Frontend Engineer you will be responsible for building consistent, scalable and maintainable UX/UI, including the APIs behind them.
Responsibilities
- Building sophisticated user interfaces and data visualizations based mainly on Typescript, React and its ecosystem
- Shaping the web services needed to power the user interfaces, together with our backend engineers
- Collaborate with other engineers, designers and product managers to identify and solve problems
- Take ownership of the different parts of our architecture, and influence their evolution making your voice heard
Required skills
- You love the web and have 3+ years of experience developing for it
- You appreciate (maybe love?) TypeScript
- You know the good, the bad and the ugly of JavaScript (ES5, ES6)
- You know at least a modern frontend web development library/framework (React, Vue or Angular)
- You know HTTP, HTTPS and the REST standard
- You understand that development means teamwork and enjoy working in team
- You love to tackle interesting challenges
- You have BS, MS (or even a PhD) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Big plus if you also have experience in Backend development (JVM-based or Node.js)
We’re also looking for:
- Being acquainted with micro-frontends, we are adopting single-spa for our platform
- The ability to say no — and to explain why
- Excellent English (engineers often interact with our US-based teams)
- Experience working in a distributed organization
- Excellent people skills, with a positive and collaborative approach
- Results driven mentality, proactive and with a strong sense of accountability
What an Engineer looks like in Cuebiq:
- Product-driven mentality: as the first in line in crafting our platform, his ideas and vision spark product growth. Partnering with PMs, Designers and Business is all about true collaboration, where every voice drives impact and no idea goes unheard.
- Proactive problem-solving: he actively supports the business team, spotting opportunities to automate workflows and deliver valuable solutions. By easing operational burdens and boosting company-wide velocity, he makes sure the team can focus on what really matters.
- Accountability & ownership: an engineer here doesn't just write code: they own the full lifecycle of a feature or product. From driving discussions and unblocking challenges, to questioning decisions when needed, coordinating with QA, and overseeing releases, he makes sure the process runs as smoothly as possible end to end.
- Easy-going spirit: beyond technical skills, he brings a relaxed, positive vibe to the team. Always up for a drink or a laugh, he keeps the office atmosphere light, collaborative, and fun.
The perks we offer:
- Remote-friendly culture: We value in-person presence and the energy that comes from face-to-face interactions, but we understand that remote work is part of today's landscape. We design our processes to make working from home seamless while fostering strong collaboration and team connection. That's why we maintain an office with a fully-stocked kitchen and ping pong table, and regularly organize in-person team days.
- Team social events: Regular aperitivo (happy hour) sessions to unwind and connect with colleagues
- Transportation support: Full coverage of public transportation subscriptions (or equivalent economic value for other commuting methods)
- Professional development: Dedicated time and space for learning new work-related skills and topics
