What will you do as a Front-end Developer?
In this role, you’ll be responsible for rebuilding and maintaining the web self-service environment of our Mobile Product, where customers can easily manage their accounts. This will be a full rebuild as we move the platform to React, giving you the opportunity to shape the architecture and front-end approach from the ground up.
You’ll be the dedicated front-end developer in the team, working closely with backend developers, QA, and product colleagues to ensure a seamless customer experience. With this setup, you’ll have a lot of ownership and influence over the front-end direction and delivery.
At Budget Thuis, most applications are developed in-house using Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban. We give our teams the freedom to take ownership of the applications they build and encourage the use of modern tools and frameworks.
The Mobile Team
Our Mobile Product team consists of an architect, product manager, engineering manager, backend developers, an iOS developer, an Android developer, and both QA and AQA specialists. Together, they are responsible for the mobile experience and customer portals, where our customers can easily manage everything themselves. Because our teams are end-to-end, there’s also room to broaden your skills—for example, if you’re interested in backend development, you’ll have the space and support to grow in that direction.

What do you bring?
Role
Besides a strong drive to keep learning and improving yourself (and the organization), we believe you’ll be successful in this role if you have:
- A completed education in Computer Science;
- At least 3 years of experience with React development;
- Experience with Figma;
- Extensive experience with React, HTML(5), JavaScript (ES5 & ES6), TailwindCSS, and NextJS;
- A solid background in building responsive interfaces;
- Strong communication skills;
- A love for technology, innovation, and new developments;
- A collaborative and positive mindset, while also confident enough to share your opinions;
- Experience with DDD and UX/web design (nice-to-have);
- Knowledge of PHP and Symfony (not required, but a plus);
