THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly analytical and results-driven Operations Business Analyst to support and optimize our Order Allocation and Order Profitability processes, while also addressing broader Partner Operations challenges. You will collaborate extensively with various teams, including logistics, commercial, finance, data science, and technology, to monitor, analyze, and enhance allocation efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall Partner Operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring our order allocation strategies achieve an optimal balance between cost, service level, and profitability, while concurrently maintaining operational agility. You will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across operational domains.
What You'll Do
- Be the Subject Matter Expert on Order Allocation & Profitability data and performance metrics
- Monitor order allocation strategies at regional, local, and partner levels, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and refine models to assess the financial impact of allocation decisions on order profitability
- Collaborate with commercial and finance teams to enhance visibility into profitability drivers
- Work closely with tech to optimize allocation logic and integrate new intelligence into our systems
- Utilize BI and analytics tools to track key performance indicators, produce insightful reports, and develop predictive analytics for allocation and profitability
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess Partner Operations and operational performance. Generate detailed reports and dashboards that provide clear insights into business trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Conduct in-depth data analysis on large and complex datasets to identify trends and uncover growth opportunities. Provide actionable recommendations backed by data to improve partner performance and experience
- Identify and diagnose inefficiencies or bottlenecks within Partner Operations and other operational processes by leveraging data-driven insights. Develop structured problem-solving approaches to address these challenges, implementing solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Present findings in a clear and actionable manner, driving continuous improvement initiatives and strategic decision-making
- Develop and implement automation solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce manual work, and improve overall effectiveness. Identify areas for improvement in existing workflows and propose innovative solutions
- Work closely with internal teams, including product, operations, and analytics, to align goals and implement strategies that support operational excellence and Partner Operations. Engage with senior stakeholders, presenting findings and negotiating win-win solutions with a focus on ROI
- A fast learner with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, able to translate complex data insights into compelling narratives for different stakeholders through clear and engaging presentations
- Strong SQL skills and experience with BI/data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI, QlikView, etc.)
- Experience using advanced data analysis and statistical tools (Python, R, etc) is a plus
- Skilled at influencing decisions through data-driven storytelling and strong analytical reasoning
- Highly organized, with attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities
- Prior experience in financial analysis related to operations, Retail Operations, or Online Marketplaces is highly valued
- Experience with profitability modeling, cost-to-serve analysis, or pricing optimization is a strong plus
- Driven by process optimization, organization, and strategic planning
- Comfortable managing and analyzing large data sets, with a talent for extracting insights and storytelling through data
- A strong communicator with experience managing senior stakeholders and negotiating solutions
- Fluent in written and spoken English (C level proficiency)
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and a keen eye for accuracy
