At Elkanodata, we’re looking for an experienced Artificial Intelligence Developer to lead the technical foundation of a new AI & Innovation division. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of how our company integrates and scales AI from the ground up, developing internal tools, scalable prototypes, and launching new AI-driven products.

💡WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As our first AI Developer, you’ll work alongside the management team, reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating with cross-functional teams (including Designers, Illustrators, Animators, Developers, and Project Managers), to drive Elkanodata’s AI strategy. You’ll combine hands-on development with visionary thinking to build tools and prototypes, make processes smarter, and uncover new opportunities using AI.

Your responsibilities:

• Design & Build: Research, design, and implement AI models and solutions aligned with the company's needs.

• Internal Innovation: Build and deploy internal AI-powered tools (ie, automation, copilots, assistants and AI agents) to enhance productivity and workflows.

• Prototyping & Development: Develop innovative and scalable proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and minimum viable products (MVPs) for new service ideas (ie, custom LLMs, Generative AI, advanced automation).

• Trendspotting: Stay on top of emerging AI trends and translate them into actionable opportunities and solutions that align with business strategic goals.

• Documentation & Standards: Define and document best practices, technical decisions, system architecture, and workflows for long-term scalability.

🧠 YOUR EXPERIENCE:

We’d love to hear from you if you meet the following criteria:

• 4+ years of experience in Front-End or Full-Stack Development.
• 1.5+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Engineering, or Software Development with a strong focus on AI.
• Strong coding skills in Python (mandatory)
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and/or no-code/low-code platforms.
• Deep understanding of model fine-tuning, embeddings, and prompt engineering.
• Experience with MCPs, Generative AI and custom LLMs, building AI agents and AI assistants.
• Experience working with ML Frameworks, NLP/NLU, Vector Databases, and Prototyping Tools.
• Excellent English communication, both written and verbal.
• Being a proactive problem-solver, with the ability to take initiative, operate independently, and make decisions in ambiguity.

In addition to this, it’s nice (not a requirement) if you have:

• Background in product design or startup environments.
• Contributions to open-source AI projects
• Excellent Spanish communication, both written and verbal.
