Role Overview


As an HR Generalist based in our Basel headquarters, you will play a key role in supporting both local HR operations and global HR initiatives. You will work closely with the Global Head of HR, local HR teams across our entities, and business leaders to ensure seamless HR operations and contribute to the alignment of HR strategy with Athagoras’ vision.


Responsibilities


Local HR Operations (Basel HQ):

  • Act as first point of contact for employees and managers in HR-related matters.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle (onboarding, contracts, probation, exits).
  • Handle HR administration, including employee records, absence/leave tracking, and payroll input.
  • Support compliance with Swiss employment law and company policies.
  • Coordinate recruitment processes locally (job postings, scheduling, contracts).

Global HR Support:

  • Support cross-entity HR projects and harmonisation efforts.
  • Assist with HR policy development, standardisation, and implementation across multiple countries.
  • Participate in global initiatives such as talent acquisition, learning & development, and employer branding.
  • Contribute to HR data analysis, reporting, and continuous process improvement.
  • Collaborate with local HR teams across entities to ensure alignment and best practice sharing.
  • Support the transition and integration of onboarding of new companies (M&A) and related projects.


Requirements


  • Solid experience in an HR Generalist or HR Support function in a dynamic, international environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss labour law and HR processes.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • High degree of confidentiality and professional integrity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems (experience with Personio or similar is a plus).
  • Fluency in German (B2) and English C1) is required; additional languages are a plus.
  • A proactive, hands-on, and solutions-oriented mindset.
