Cyber Security Engineer

Are you a Cyber Security Engineer with a strong foundation in both IT and operational technology environments? Do you bring several years of hands-on experience securing critical infrastructure across sectors such as energy, defense, aviation, or manufacturing? Are you confident navigating complex standards like IEC 62443, ISO 27001, and NIST, and have a deep understanding of risk management, GRC, and regulatory frameworks such as NIS2 and DORA? You will be joining a highly skilled and multidisciplinary team, responsible for designing and implementing cybersecurity strategies for large-scale, often highly regulated environments. Your role will span OT/IT security architecture, secure development lifecycle planning, and cyber risk assessments. You’ll bring your expertise to industries where system integrity and uptime are non-negotiable—ranging from oil refineries and national power grids to aviation and defense projects. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with client teams across Europe, shaping and executing security programs that are both technically sound and regulatorily compliant.

This role demands not only technical mastery but also leadership and communication skills (including communicating in German). You’ll work in multilingual, multicultural settings, often bridging the gap between engineering, compliance, and executive teams. Certifications in auditing (ISO/IEC 27001, NIST) and proven experience with GRC platforms like Eramba are a plus. Whether you’re aligning maritime systems to IACS standards or leading cybersecurity initiatives in industrial environments, your proactive mindset, resilience, and service orientation will be key to success.
