About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Security Director to lead and coordinate the company’s security strategy across all business areas: warehouses, retail stores (Altex/MG/Brico), and owned retail parks.
This role combines operational security leadership with strategic development, innovation, and technology integration, including the adoption of advanced AI-based solutions.
The Security Director will oversee a national team through three direct Security Managers (Warehouses, Retail Stores, Retail Parks) and will work closely with internal departments (IT, HR, Operations) as well as external consultants and security system designers.
The mission is to create a secure, efficient, and technology-driven environment that protects employees, customers, and company assets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the company’s integrated security policy and long-term strategy.
- Coordinate the activities of the three Security Managers and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local authorities, regulators, and law enforcement agencies.
Security Systems & Projects
- Supervise the design, validation, and implementation of security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, audio systems, people counting, RFID, etc.).
- Monitor performance and ensure compliance with technical, legal, and brand requirements.
- Lead acceptance and quality control processes for security-related projects.
Operations & Maintenance
- Ensure continuous operation and preventive/corrective maintenance of all security systems across warehouses, retail stores, and retail parks.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with external suppliers and service providers.
- Optimize budgets, control costs, and monitor security-related expenditures.
Innovation & AI Integration
- Collaborate with IT and Operations to integrate AI solutions into security operations and customer experience.
- Implement AI-driven solutions for security and retil support
- Continuously explore new technologies and propose gradual implementation plans.
Risk & Compliance Management
- Conduct and update physical security risk assessments for all sites.
- Ensure compliance with security legislation, health & safety, and data protection standards.
- Develop and update internal procedures for fraud prevention and loss reduction.
Team Management
- Lead, coach, and evaluate the performance of Security Managers and their teams.
- Recruit, train, and develop talent within the security function.
- Build a results-oriented, motivated, and professional security organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Security Management, Automation, or related fields.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in security leadership, preferably in retail, logistics, or large-scale property management.
- Proven experience in managing complex security projects and multi-site operations.
- Solid knowledge of physical security systems, regulations, and modern technologies.
- Strong understanding of budget management and supplier negotiations.
- Proficiency in English (advanced level).
- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to work cross-functionally.
