Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop AI/ML software products and solutions, including exploring large datasets, feature engineering, building data pipelines, testing and evaluating model outputs, deploying solutions to production, and scaling for maintainability.
- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data infrastructure required for AI/ML projects.
- Apply software architecture and design patterns, contributing to architectural decisions, technical roadmap planning, and technical documentation. Write scalable, maintainable, and future-proof code.
- Develop solutions, components, services, and frameworks addressing specific and common AI/ML project needs, such as feature reuse, model traceability, monitoring, A/B testing, versioning, release, and serving both online and batch inference.
- Collaborate in cross-functional agile teams of engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to build and maintain the AI ecosystem.
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a senior Machine Learning Engineer role, ideally with experience in supply chain or demand forecasting solutions.
- Strong software engineering skills with hands-on coding experience and knowledge of best practices, DevOps, testing, and SRE principles for ML and AI projects.
- Proven experience developing software products that have been deployed to production and scaled in larger organizations, while ensuring quality, cybersecurity, and performance standards.
- Extensive experience in modern programming languages, with strong expertise in Python (4+ years), including backend service development.
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies for ML development, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Vertex AI.
- Solid experience with MLOps practices, ML pipelines, data pipelines, and deploying ML applications to production.
- Foundational data science knowledge and working experience with a variety of AI/ML techniques and frameworks.
- Experience handling and developing high-volume heterogeneous data (batch and streaming), including SQL and DBT, with a strong understanding of cloud data storage technologies and data quality.
- Experience translating business needs into technical requirements, designing solutions, breaking down work into stories and tasks, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, team collaboration, and data-driven development.
