We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join Mükellef Teknoloji, a fast-growing startup developing innovative products in company formation, accounting, tax automation, and financial management solutions.

We offer an end-to-end solution to help entrepreneurs manage all financial processes required when establishing and running their companies.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join Mükellef Teknoloji, a fast-growing startup developing innovative products in company formation, accounting, tax automation, and financial management solutions.
Key Position Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend web applications and in-house tools
- Design, build, and improve PHP-based backend systems
- Refactor and optimize existing code for performance and scalability
- Define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables
- Build and consume RESTful APIs for product integrations
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Finance, Customer Success)
- Prepare technical documentation, guides, and training materials
- Contribute to product development with a customer-first and business-driven mindset
- 8+ years of backend web development experience
- Strong proficiency in PHP and MySQL
- Experience with AWS services (RDS Aurora, S3, SQS, Lambda) is a big plus
- Hands-on experience with Laravel or Symfony
- Proven track record in optimizing the performance of medium to large-scale systems
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with debugging tools for browsers (HTML, JS, CSS)
- Strong knowledge of version control systems (Git)
- CI/CD pipeline experience is a plus
- Database experience, ideally with large datasets
- Passion for solving complex system challenges with a focus on financial and payment products
- Comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and business needs
