We're seeking a talented individual to join our innovative team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and implementing high-performance PHP-based features for our iGaming platforms, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and security standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex PHP-based applications and features for our iGaming platforms
  • Write clean, well-documented, and efficient PHP code adhering to industry best practices and coding standards
  • Contribute to the architectural design and technical decision-making for new and existing systems
  • Optimise application performance, scalability, and security
  • Integrate with various internal and external APIs and services
  • Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs in a timely manner
  • Collaborate effectively with product owners, designers, front-end developers, and QA engineers throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest PHP frameworks, tools, and industry trends, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate
  • Participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback and ensure code quality across the team
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and methodologies
  • Potentially mentor and guide junior PHP developers, sharing your knowledge and expertise
  • Ensure compliance with relevant iGaming regulations and security standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in PHP development and software engineering, ideally within the iGaming industry
  • Deep expertise in core PHP, design patterns, and modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony, Laravel)
  • Strong proficiency in relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and efficient SQL. Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and version control (Git)
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern JavaScript frameworks is a significant advantage
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is highly desirable
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and security best practices for web applications
  • Open to assuming on-call responsibilities following an initial period of system familiarization
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
