JOB ADVERT: Trading Platform Engineering Lead

Job Summary:

Al Ramz Corporation P.J.S.C. is seeking a Trading Platform Engineering Lead to lead the engineering design and delivery of Al Ramz’s multi-platform trading platform (mobile, web, services). Translate PMO-approved requirements into secure, scalable solutions and high-quality code across internal teams and external vendors. Own engineering standards, architecture decisions, SDLC quality, and vendor governance to ship predictable, compliant releases.

This role partners closely with PMO/Product (scope intake), Infra/Platform (environments, CI/CD), and App Support/SRE (readiness, handover, remediation) while not owning those charters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set engineering strategy & standards: Define coding conventions, architecture guidelines, branching, code review rules, secure-by-design practices.
• Lead solution architecture: Approve high-level designs, APIs, integrations, data flows; ensure scalability, security, performance.
• Own SDLC & delivery quality: Establish CI/CD practices (in partnership with DevOps), test strategy (unit/integration/e2e), release readiness, and documentation.
• Manage vendors/partners: Select, onboard, and govern external development firms; enforce SLAs, code ownership/IP terms, and review cadence.
• Reduce technical debt: Maintain a debt register; prioritize refactoring and modernization; drive platform/codebase simplification.
• Embed security & compliance: Implement SAST/DAST/SCA, secrets management, and threat modeling; meet regulatory/infosec controls.
• Direct build teams: Plan and supervise internal squads and external vendors; allocate capacity; enforce quality gates before UAT/production.
• Collaborate with internal partners: Business requirements and prioritization (PMO), product owners, production application support, and IT infrastructure.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications in cloud architecture, security, or financial systems are a plus.
• 8-15 years of proven experience as a Technical Lead in mobile/web application development.
• Experience in designing and building real-time applications
• Experience in designing and building Cloud native platforms
• Strong proficiency in front-end (Flutter, Swift, Kotlin, ASPNET Zero) and back-end technologies (Node.js, Java, .NET Core)
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Product experience working in Start Up ideally Fin Tech is a must.
• Experience with financial trading platforms, brokerage systems, or wealth management solutions.
• Familiarity with multi-platform development and device-specific constraints

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to motivate a tech team onshore / offshore
• Ability to work hands-on while guiding external teams
