Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data engineers and developers to design and support CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD) for data services and infrastructure
- Support Apache Kafka clusters and other event streaming systems
- Operate and monitor data-related platforms such as ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, and Superset
- Monitor system health and performance; troubleshoot and resolve incidents promptly
- Improve deployment strategies and reduce time to delivery through automation and tooling
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production environments when needed
- Support compliance and security initiatives in collaboration with IT and Security teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in a DevOps or Site Reliability role, ideally in data-heavy environments
- Proven experience with event streaming platforms like Apache Kafka.
- Strong knowledge of container technologies and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (Python, Bash)
- Familiarity with data platforms such as PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Superset
- Good understanding of networking, monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g. NewRelic, Grafana)
- Comfortable working in predominantly on-prem environments; knowledge of GCP is a plus
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
