We are now seeking an experienced Product Line Manager to lead and grow our Drilling Tools Rental product line. This is a senior leadership role with global responsibility, requiring deep technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and strong client engagement skills. You will play a pivotal role in shaping strategy, driving growth, and ensuring operational excellence across multiple regions.
Job Title: Product Line Manager – Drilling Tools Rental
Location: Houston, Aberdeen, Dubai or Stavanger (is preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and specialist support across all aspects of the Drilling Tools Rental product line
- Develop and implement the technical and commercial roadmap for sustainable growth
- Support Geo markets with tendering, client engagement, and building a global tender library
- Own and manage equipment design standards, specifications, datasheets, and intellectual property
- Collaborate with executives, Operations Managers, and VP I&D to:
- Establish annual sales, operational, and investment budgets
- Monitor financial performance and deliver against growth targets
- Ensure adequate resources (personnel and equipment) are in place globally
- Drive global marketing and sales initiatives
- Lead identification and development of new technologies, products, and services
- Ensure compliance with statutory, contractual, and industry requirements
- Standardize global processes, procedures, and performance standards
- Drive training, competence development, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with Supply Chain to build vendor, manufacturing, and standardization strategies
- Actively represent the product line at conferences, exhibitions, and client events
- Improve business processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and output
- Serve as the voice of the customer, identifying challenges and implementing solutions
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Drilling Tools or related product line management
- Strong technical and commercial understanding of product line business
- Proven international experience with an established client network
- Demonstrated credibility with line organizations through hands-on experience
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills
- Fluency in English (written and oral)
- Prior management experience is an advantage
- Client-focused with a solution-oriented mindset
- Adaptable leader with the ability to work across cultures and regions
