WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a HR Generalist to join us on a full-time contract until June 30 th , 2026. The HR Generalist will serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries from team members and managers in the Supply Chain and Quality Pillar, supporting with the delivery and administration of HR programs, including but not limited to: employee relations, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution and workplace investigations. This role will provide approximately 75% support to Canadian operations and 25% to our Nottingham, UK site.
This is a 4 day a week, in office role, based out of our Etobicoke office. This role will also require travel to our warehouse and distribution locations in Mississauga and Brampton twice a month.
WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Manage employment-related queries, escalating complex or sensitive matters to the HR Senior Manager where appropriate
- Maintain and update employee data in Ceridian Dayforce, including self-service support for HR Business Partners
- Train and support team members and managers in the use of core tools such as Lattice (engagement platform), Org Chart Now, and others
- Ensure accurate record-keeping, including maintaining employee files, HR documentation and master employee lists
- Provide guidance and support on HR strategies, initiatives and engagement programs that reflect organizational culture and global values
- Partner with leaders to effectively manage employee relations and provide coaching, policy interpretation, and performance support
- Respond to requests from the Talent team, supporting recruitment, onboarding, and other lifecycle changes
- Coordinate employee onboarding, including new hire orientation and offboarding activities such as exit interviews
- Review health and safety (H&S) incident reports and ensure timely communication with involved team members and stakeholders
- Support Leaves of Absence (LOAs) and Modified Duty/Return-to-Work programs, including coordination with employees, managers and H&S team as needed
- Support management and payroll teams with inquiries related to the Workforce Management (WFM) clock-in system, escalate issues and troubleshooting to the HRdata team
- Ability to roll up your sleeves, multi-task and manage competing priorities and deadlines is essential
- Working knowledge of employment standards and Human Resources best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills both written and oral and ability to work with all levels of staff and management
- Proficient word processing skills using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- 3+ years of experience as an HR generalist, with previous work experience in a manufacturing environment considered a big plus
- Relevant education in Human Resources, Business Administration or another relevant field OR equivalent work experience is an asset. CHRP designation is an asset
