Network Engineer

They're seeking a hands-on engineer who can architect robust network environments, troubleshoot complex challenges, and ensure seamless connectivity across on-premise and cloud platforms.

In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in building resilient infrastructures that enable clients to scale confidently while maintaining high standards of uptime and security.

📍 Work Type 

• Hybrid: 3 days per week in the office 
• Location: Toronto, ON

• Design and implement new network solutions and enhance existing architectures.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP.
• Optimize performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive upgrades.
• Ensure secure and efficient data flow by configuring firewalls, NAT, ACLs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and VLANs.
• Monitor network health using tools such as SolarWinds or PRTG, ensuring uptime and reliability.
• Investigate and resolve faults using packet analysis (e.g., Wireshark) and root cause analysis.
• Design and manage virtual networks within Microsoft Azure, including VPNs, ExpressRoute, and hybrid connectivity.
• Provide escalation support for clients, including 24/7 coverage rotation.
• Act as a technical resource in cross-functional meetings, QBRs, and client escalations.
• Support Sales teams with technical insights and case reviews.

Must-Haves

• 4+ years of experience in network engineering or operations.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching).
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade hardware (Cisco, Fortinet, etc.).
• Proficiency in configuring firewalls, routing protocols, and switches.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure networking (Virtual Network, VPN Gateway, NSGs, ExpressRoute).
• Strong documentation, escalation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or Azure Network Engineer Associate.
• Experience in MSP or other fast-paced environments.
• Ability to support pre-sales activities and liaise with vendor partners.

• Base Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 + Bonus
