We are the Armenian Artificial Intelligence Company (AAIC): a team of scientists, engineers, designers, and writers. We work globally, creating singular software for diverse clients—from devices that assist professional chefs to city simulations to narrative games.
With new narrative projects on the horizon, we're expanding our writers' room and seeking a game designer with prompt engineering skills to support our writers.
What we're looking for:
- Hands-on experience in narrative game design: You've been responsible for gameplay development, balanced mechanics, worked on levels and storylines, and authored design docs for several narrative games. You have designed at least one game on your own.
- Hands-on experience with LLM: You regularly use large language models like ChatGPT or DeepSeek and know how to write prompts that generate stylistically and factually consistent texts.
- Hands-on experience in writing: You've written essays, novels, stories, academic papers, or articles—we accept any fiction piece in any language (excluding social media posts, technical documentation, or project briefs).
- You are fluent in English and have excellent written communication skills.
This position is fully remote and part-time with an expected workload of 15–20 hours per week at a rate of $10–15 per hour.
What we will NOT be looking at:
- Years of experience.
- Big names in your CV.
- We'll read your CV if you send it, but it doesn't factor heavily in our decision.
To apply, email Niko at [email protected] with the following:
- Examples of games you played a significant role in developing.
- A specific game mechanic you designed and implemented.
- An LLM prompt you created that you either used in your workflow or integrated into a project.
- A sample of your long-form fiction writing (can be in any language).
- A description of the most interesting project you've worked on (doesn't need to be commercial or large-scale).
All applications via EasyApply will be ignored. As an AI company, we're very good at spotting LLM writing. A human will read your application and respond personally, so please extend the same courtesy.
What's next?
- A call where we'll introduce our company and you'll have an opportunity to ask questions.
- An unusual test where we'll present you with a small but real game design challenge in a fantasy project, allowing you to ask questions and develop a solution.
Due to payment restrictions, we cannot work with people physically located in China, Russia, Belarus, Iran, or other sanctioned countries.
- Feel free to anonymize your application if you prefer.
