$190k base + super


A global software organisation is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Team Leader to guide a small, highly technical group and drive automation, security, and operational excellence across a mission-critical platform. High-growth, innovation-driven environment with global reach.


The Opportunity:


  • Lead a high-performing DevSecOps team of two engineers, with the mandate to shape strategy and grow the function.
  • Partner directly with executive leadership to influence company-wide automation, orchestration, and security practices.
  • Work with cutting-edge observability tooling such as Datadog, while ensuring compliance and security across all business units.
  • Position yourself for future senior technology leadership, with a clear path to broader responsibilities.


What You’ll Do:


  • Inspire & Mentor – coach and develop a talented engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Drive Automation – champion CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code and modern deployment practices.
  • Security & Compliance – oversee DevSecOps strategy and enterprise-wide security posture.
  • Collaborate & Influence – work with senior stakeholders to align operations with business objectives.


What We’re Looking For:


  • Strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD.
  • Strong CI/CD expertise (Jenkins preferred) and scripting skills (Python ideal)
  • Solid AWS knowledge (CloudFormation/CDK, IAM, Lambda, networking fundamentals)
  • A collaborative, customer-focused mindset — proactive about automation and improvement
  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring DevOps/SRE/Platform teams (or ready to step into leadership from a senior engineer role).
  • Deep understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent soft skills – proactive, influential communicator who builds trust across departments.
  • Ambition and drive to progress into a more senior leadership role.
