The ideal candidate will use their passion for big data and analytics to provide insights to the business, covering a range of topics.
Responsibilities:
- Transform client requests into data deliverables, such as models, data transformations, and interactive reporting.
- Build standard reports for our analytics platform that will be used by every client.
- Answer ad-hoc data requests using SQL and produce reports to be shared with our clients.
- Actively monitor and improve the data accuracy of the analytics platform.
- Collaborate with other members of the Customer Success team to share learnings about the client’s business.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and anomalies within the Drivepoint reporting platform.
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in data analytics.
- Strong skills in SQL.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and team members in a remote setting.
- Ability to convey insights clearly, address client questions, and foster connections with clients.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets, such as Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience in creating visualizations with a business intelligence (BI) tool (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
- A bachelor's degree or higher in data science, computer science, statistics, economics, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Work experience with an e-commerce company. Even more points if you’ve ever worked with Shopify or Amazon commerce data.
- Experience working in an early-stage startup environment.
- Experience with DBT and building ELT pipelines.
- Familiarity or experience with financial metrics.
