Job Responsibilities

Within the Travel Retail Central Finance Team, the Data Analyst will assist the Senior Business Controller in business intelligence, data management, consolidation and reporting.

As part of the Travel Retail division team based in Paris, you will oversee the existing BI tools we are using, maintaining and developing them. You will directly impact the top-level decisions by providing key analysis. You will be the data expert for all the departments (Finance, Marketing, Sales).

Internship starting on the beginning of January.

Your area of activity includes the following tasks:

Data management

  • Ensure a good maintenance of our data systems (Power BI, Anaplan) via data integration, mapping updates and data reconciliation
  • Extract and transform financial data reports, to provide analytic insights and clear data visualizations for different stakeholders (Finance, Marketing, Sales, Top Management)
  • Organize trainings for your key users
  • Liaise with dedicated system IT Teams on troubleshooting when needed
  • Make recommendations on best practices / technological watch
  • Be the key point of contact with our internal business users and l Power BI consultants.

Support GTR consolidation

  • Assist GTR controller on all month-end close analysis (Monthly Sell-in, Sell-out, P&L, MMF etc.)
  • Participate in all reporting phases of Global Travel Retail (Budget, LE1, LE2, R&O and Actuals)
  • Ad-hoc analysis for top management (Business reviews, customer / product analysis etc.)

Profile

  • Currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from business, data science or engineering studies
  • Excel has no secret for you / a first experience with Power BI is a must
  • Fluent written and spoken English and French
  • You are problem solving oriented
  • Passion for luxury brands / Wines & Spirits
  • You know how to deal with complexity and thrive in a dynamic working environment
  • You show strong analytical skills, with an ability to use multiple data sources to extract the best insights from it
  • You are autonomous, proactive and rigorous
  • Highly collaborative and a strong team player, able to foster positive relationship
