Location: Lower Saxony, Germany (hybrid)

Role Overview
We are looking for a freelance Project Manager to lead a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Lower Saxony. You’ll oversee planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory, and budget requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget from development to commissioning.
- Coordinate EPCs, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with German/EU safety, environmental, and grid regulations.
- Support permitting and grid connection processes.
- Provide progress and risk reports to senior management.
Profile
- 5+ years’ project management in BESS, renewables, or energy infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of battery storage and grid integration.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and reporting (German & English).
- Degree in Engineering/Project Management; PMP/PRINCE2/IPMA a plus.
