We develop cutting-edge on-court and off-court technological solutions for tennis and padel—including ball/player tracking, realtime technical statistics, line calling services, automated video highlights, and more. As a proud member of the Crionet Group, we are part of a global network known for delivering integrated multimedia solutions for sporting events.
The Role
We are seeking a technical Digital Product Owner with a passion for racquet sports and a deep understanding of the technologies that support officiating. This role requires strong expertise in tracking systems, automated decision-making tools, VR/AR applications, and broadcast integrations.
The Digital Product Owner will be responsible for shaping and delivering solutions that enable high-accuracy officiating, reliable real-time decision systems, and seamless data distribution to stakeholders. The candidate will need to combine product ownership skills with a solid technical foundation to successfully manage products that blend hardware, software, and live operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Technical Roadmap
- Define and own the product vision and roadmap for officiating and tracking technologies, including ball/player tracking, electronic decision support, and VR-assisted officiating tools.
- Align product strategy with international officiating rules and industry standards, ensuring solutions meet regulatory, technical, and operational requirements.
- Continuously benchmark against industry practices in computer vision, AI-based decisioning, and digital officiating, integrating best practices into product planning.
Agile Delivery & Requirements
- Translate officiating rules, technical specifications, and operational needs into detailed user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Define requirements for camera systems, multi-angle triangulation, 3D trajectory modeling, latency targets, and decision logic.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, QA, and hardware partners to deliver robust end-to-end solutions optimized for speed, accuracy, and reliability.
Stakeholder & Technical Collaboration
- Partner with federations, tournament organizers, and officiating bodies to understand real-world needs and deployment contexts.
- Define integration standards for APIs, data feeds, and broadcast overlays, ensuring smooth workflows between officiating tools and broadcast systems.
- Serve as the bridge between officiating requirements, sports regulations, and advanced technical development.
Data & Performance Management
- Define and track KPIs including system accuracy, decision latency, availability/uptime, and failover procedures.
- Work with operations teams to monitor live deployments, provide support, and plan product improvements.
- Ensure that data pipelines meet the requirements for real-time officiating decisions and broadcast delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a technical Product Owner role managing complex systems involving both hardware and software.
- Strong knowledge of optical tracking systems, including camera calibration, triangulation methods, and trajectory computation.
- Experience with real-time decision systems for sports, with a focus on accuracy, speed, and error handling.
- Understanding of VR/AR technologies applied to officiating and replay.
- Hands-on familiarity with data pipelines, APIs, cloud-based infrastructures, and integration patterns.
- Proficiency in Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and product management tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical requirements to both technical and business stakeholders.
Key Competencies
- Passion for sports, with a strong knowledge of tennis, padel, and officiating regulations.
- Strategic mindset, able to translate officiating requirements into technical product roadmaps.
- Detail-oriented approach to accuracy, performance, and system robustness.
- Empathy towards B2B customers, federations, and officiating teams.
- Collaborative leadership with cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and commercial stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset that balances technical feasibility with sports-driven perspectives.
What We Offer
- Ownership of advanced products at the intersection of sports, computer vision, officiating, and broadcast technology.
- Direct collaboration with federations, tournaments, officiating crews, broadcasters, and technology partners worldwide.
- A dynamic and international working environment with opportunities to deploy cutting-edge solutions in live, high-stakes sports events.
