Technical Project Manager - Mobile App Development
We are looking for talented, detail-oriented, and committed professionals to join the Bryj team and lead the delivery of high-impact technical projects in our ever-growing business. As a Technical Project Manager (TPM), you will work and manage enterprise customers, drive project execution across Bryj’s internal application teams, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery of mobile app solutions. The TPM plays a critical role in coordinating stakeholders, aligning technical execution with business objectives, and ensuring delivery excellence.
This role requires a blend of project management expertise, technical understanding, stakeholder leadership to guide enterprise customers and internal teams through the full mobile app lifecycle, and execution and action oriented.
Primary Role & Responsibilities:
- Working directly with enterprise customers, lead and manage the full project lifecycle for mobile app development initiatives, from planning and execution through release and support on time and budget.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional work across indirect reports including Business Analysts, UX Designers, Developers, QA Engineers, and Delivery Operations to ensure delivery of high-performing, scalable, and secure apps.
- Apply planning and project management best practices (Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies) to track progress, manage risks, and drive accountability across distributed teams.
- Oversee technical integration, app store compliance, SDK implementations, analytics tagging, and campaign enablement from a project execution perspective.
- Ensure alignment of project outcomes to customer and business objectives (e.g., app performance, scalability, security, ROI).
- Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies clearly and professionally through written reports, presentations, and stakeholder updates (QBRs, MBRs, etc.).
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively, resolving blockers to keep projects on track.
- Partner with leadership to establish delivery frameworks, performance metrics, and reporting cadence for project health and success.
- Stay current with industry trends, mobile technologies, and AI-driven innovations, incorporating best practices into project execution.
- Contribute to process improvements, automation opportunities, and knowledge sharing within the project management function.
Skills & Experience:
- Bilingual in French and English required, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages across technical and business contexts and forms of communication.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management, software project delivery, or program management within technology businesses.
- Proven track record of managing complex technical projects with enterprise (to mid-market) customers.
- Solid understanding of mobile app technology and development lifecycles (iOS, Android), app store submission processes, SDK integrations, QA, and analytics tools.
- Experience working within Agile and Scrum frameworks; ability to facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to balance technical constraints, business requirements and customer needs.
- Be detailed, hands-on and execution and action oriented.
- Ability to perform and function at a high level in a dynamic start-up environment and pace (versus stable and straight line).
- Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) are a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical and project details to both technical and non-technical customers and other stakeholders.

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
- At least 5-8 years of relevant project management experience in technology or software development and working B2B with enterprise (to mid-market) customers.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in English. Native French speakers are a must.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Monday.com, Microsoft 365, or similar).
Role Location:
This is a hybrid position based in Lisbon, Portugal, requiring in-office presence at least 4 days per week (or as determined by the COO). The role supports a portfolio of projects across North America (NA) and Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions, and requires flexibility to adapt to applicable time zones when necessary.
