Role: React developer (Junior/Mid)
Mission:
Thales Services Numériques works for the Thales GBU Defence Mission Systems. Thales Defence Mission Systems France is the European leader and ranks third worldwide in the market for airborne and naval defence mission systems and equipment. The company designs, develops and manufactures technologically innovative systems and equipment for combat aircraft, unmanned air vehicles (UAVs), special- mission aircraft, helicopters and naval platforms, and provides a complete range of through-life support services.
The application we are working on, allows us to monitor the status of aircraft repair production lines. This monitoring is carried out at different levels (team / site / management), with performance and safety indicators for the production lines.
The 2 objectives of this project are:
- The redesign of the existing web application to move towards the CASTLE platform, by migrating the frontend from ReactJS to NextJS + React and the backend from .net to Java with Spring Boot.
- The development of a new component incorporating the functionalities offered in a historical heavy application. As well as certain other functionalities which are today carried out directly in database by hand, towards a web administration application also intended to be deployed under Castle.
As a React developer, you are a member of project team, with a direct link with the technical leader, the Scrum Master and the Product Owner. You should be motivated by developing quality code, and be interested in understanding the product feature. You will contribute to the backend and the frontend development, and also unit test. You should contribute to the writing of document, the deployment process and bug fixing phases.
You have prior development experiences in web applications:
- Work in development Team as an active member able to implement all functionalities included in the scope, based on the functional specifications.
- Contribute to the software design and write source codes
- Bugs analysis and bugs fixing during validation and support phases
Required competencies/experience:
- Working knowledge on React development
- Working knowledge on containerization (Castle)
- Working knowledge on DataBase (PostgreSQL)
- Working knowledge on tests frameworks (JUnit)
- English fluent, basic (A2) French level,
- Be autonomous and proactive on your tasks,
- Teamwork and knowledge sharing,
- Sense of responsibility,
- Good communication skills.
