As a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll become a key contributor where your skills and input make a big difference. In this role, you’ll design embedded software and development tools that will be used to test products.
You’ll write code that tells chips how to operate in revolutionary new ways. And, you’ll work closely with business partners and customers, as well as TI’s marketing, systems and applications engineering teams, to collaborate and solve business problems.
The Platform Enablement team is responsible for writing embedded software and scripts that enable our devices to operate at a fundamental level, by writing startup-code, peripheral drivers, power management software, and enabling real-time operating systems to run. This is the foundation for all other applications and software to be developed on our devices.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in a field related to electronics engineering or programming
- C programming skills
These are nice to have, don’t worry if you don’t have all these skills fully developed yet, you will learn in your assignment with us.
Technical
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as python
- Familiarity with assembly language programming
- Experience with ARM Cortex M series microcontrollers
- Knowledge of continuous integration systems such as Jenkins or similar
- Knowledge of build systems such as CMake or Make
- Structured approach to software development
- Transparency about your knowledge and skills – hand in hand With Not being afraid to say “I don’t know this (yet)”
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to build strong, influential relationships
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
