Job Title: Senior Software Engineer / Staff Engineer
Role Summary: We are seeking a highly autonomous and self-sufficient Senior/Staff Engineer to act as a key technical partner to our Product Manager and Senior Leadership Team. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and resolve systemic bottlenecks and process inefficiencies across the business to deliver outcomes for our most important metrics to drive growth, with an initial focus on international production and logistics. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for an experienced builder who thrives on solving ambiguous, high-leverage business problems and delivering scalable solutions with minimal oversight.
What you'll do:

What you'll do:
- Proactively identify and investigate business-critical process issues and bottlenecks.
- Work independently to scope, design, and deliver scalable technical solutions.
- Act as a technical leader and force multiplier by building tools and systems that enable the business to scale efficiently.
- Collaborate deeply with the Product Manager to understand business needs, provide technical insights, prioritize key initiatives and enhance each other's thinking.
- Move fluidly between different problem domains based on the highest impact opportunities for the business.
- A seasoned engineer with a proven track record of tackling complex, high-impact technical challenges.
- An excellent communicator who can work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-sufficient and comfortable working with high-level direction rather than a detailed, pre-defined backlog.
- A systems thinker who can connect business problems to technical, scalable solutions.
- Backend Development: Deep expertise in modern backend development, with strong proficiency in PHP and its frameworks, especially Laravel. Experience with Python is also highly valued.
- Database Management: Strong command of SQL and extensive experience designing, optimizing, and maintaining relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience building and deploying scalable solutions on cloud platforms, with a strong preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- System Architecture: Proven ability to design, build, and maintain robust, scalable systems. Experience with API design (REST, GraphQL), service-oriented architecture, and event-driven systems is a major plus.
- DevOps & Tooling: Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, including containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
