Our Zumtobel Product Management (PM) Team “Trunking Systems & Protected Luminaires”: experts working together to push boundaries and inspire the market. The main goal of our "Trunking Systems & Protected Luminaires" team is to offer our clients the best lighting solutions for various applications, including retail, industry, chemical, food processing, education, and offices. The Product Management team is responsible for overseeing the global product portfolio while considering related emergency lighting, connectivity products, as well as digital solutions and services for the Zumtobel and Thorn brands. This is done in clear alignment with the company’s brand, application, and sustainability strategy.

Managing the entire product lifecycle and innovating the next generation of lighting solutions worldwide. As a Global Product Manager, you oversee the entire product lifecycle—from idea generation to the phase-out of relevant applications. You are responsible for identifying opportunities and driving growth through innovation and change while maintaining fundamental business goals and priorities. You manage all activities for the Zumtobel brand on a global scale, with a strong focus on goal-setting for each product range.
You will be part of a team of four+ passionate Product Managers based at our headquarters in Dornbirn, Austria.
Responsibilities
- Developing, defining & implementing the Product Roadmap: You drive disruptive product breakthroughs by developing a global product roadmap—from ideation, product specification, and make-or-buy decisions to launch. You oversee the complete life cycle, including hardware, software, and services, to achieve market share targets. Through proactive collaboration with Sales, Brands, and R&D, you ensure the successful implementation of the roadmap in the market.
- Managing, monitoring & evaluating performance: You take full responsibility for the profitability of product families, ensuring alignment with company goals, on-time and cost-effective delivery, and strategic positioning. Additionally, you support marketing plans and optimize pricing strategies. You continuously monitor and evaluate portfolio performance in collaboration with brands to facilitate informed investment decisions.
- Gathering trends & driving innovation: To identify competitive attributes and value propositions, you work closely with Market Intelligence and Sales to analyze global markets, technologies, competitors, and customer trends. By leveraging advanced methodologies and tools, you stay ahead of the competition, identifying customer needs, opportunities, and risks for strategic positioning.
- Providing training & presentations: You share product and application knowledge through engaging, in-depth training sessions, demonstrations, and presentations for customers, stakeholders, and sales teams.
- Collaboration & Communication: You collaborate efficiently and serve as a key interface for all relevant stakeholders—Application Management, Brand Marketing, Pricing, Sales, Product Development, PMO, Innovation Hub, Global Launch Management, Market Intelligence, and Production—ensuring optimal outcomes for both our customers and business objectives.
Skills & Experience
- You have a magnetic, charismatic personality with empowering, inspiring communication skills, an empathetic and supportive working style, combined with a unifying enthusiasm for Product Management.
- You have successfully completed a bachelor's degree, either with profound technical understanding or a strong interest in technology.
- You have already gained initial relevant experience and demonstrated success in a product management, sales, or product-focused role, ideally in a technology, industrial, B2B, electro-mechanical equipment, or consumer electronics environment.
- Thanks to your excellent quantitative and analytical skills, as well as your strategic, modern, entrepreneurial, and problem-solving mindset, it is easy for you to create product roadmaps and portfolios and implement them using your professional project management skills and/or your highly organized way of working—this is your success factor.
- You have exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to confidently communicate, influence, and challenge at all levels, orchestrating interdisciplinary, decentralized, and remote teams into outstanding success.
- You have a curious, agile mindset and are open to new ideas, trends, and topics. You care about sustainability issues, and this influences your decisions.
- You are a passionate and energetic person who enjoys presenting, storytelling, and communicating in a pleasant, credible, and empathetic manner—fluent in English and ideally in German as well.
- Personally, you have a "never give up" attitude and a "walk the talk" mentality, combined with an authentic, approachable, consistent, trustworthy, self-confident, and resilient presence.
- You support the brand's and its product offerings’ external market presence by being willing to travel abroad (30% of the time).
