I am recruiting on behalf of a client active in large-scale railway infrastructure projects in Belgium, delivering key programs such as new rail connections, tunnels, and modernization works. This organization is central to building sustainable mobility for the future.
The Role
As a Junior PM Officer, you will support a Program Manager in the financial and operational follow-up of major infrastructure projects. You will help track budgets, prepare reporting, and ensure consistency between planning, resources, and financial performance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early professional experience to grow into a key project support role in a highly dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor expenditures and budget forecasts for projects and worksites.
- Consolidate data into monthly financial dashboards to support decision-making.
- Advise the Program Manager on financial and budgetary matters.
- Prepare financial data for billing of project fees.
- Monitor profitability and productivity of services delivered.
- Challenge project teams when budgets or productivity are not respected.
- Collaborate with Program Managers and Planners to align planning, resources, and budgets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
Profile
- Master’s degree in Applied Economic Sciences (or equivalent).
- 2–4 years’ relevant experience in budget follow-up, financial analysis, or project support.
- Solid command of MS Office (Excel, Word); knowledge of SAP and Power BI is an advantage.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and structured in your way of working.
- Communicative, collaborative, and comfortable interacting with stakeholders.
- Fluent in Dutch (C2 level) with good knowledge of French (spoken & written).
