JDL Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading data centre developer, who are looking to add an experienced Customer Fit-Out Project Manager to support the delivery of a major data centre development in Mainz, Germany.
Summary
The Customer Fit-Out Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and delivering all customer-specific works on a large-scale data centre project, including office fit-out, telecom, and security systems. The role ensures customer requirements are fully integrated into the base build programme and delivered to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate customer/end-user works, including office spaces, security, telecoms, and other infrastructure.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer fit-out queries and requirements.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless integration with base build and MEP systems.
- Track progress and report on milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Support commissioning, handover, and change management for customer scope.
- Monitor and control costs, assisting with forecasts and progress reports.
- Chair and participate in key meetings to align stakeholders and drive delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering customer fit-out, telecom, security, or office build-out works.
- Strong programme and cost control knowledge within a construction environment.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and Word.
- Fluent in English.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage risks effectively.
