Job Purpose:
The Project Manager manages small, medium and large-sized projects ensuring they are completed on time within the scope, budget and timelines. He/ She collaborates with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and resources to drive project success and contributes to the achievement of the Bank’s business objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develops comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Defines project objectives and success criteria, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Leads cross-functional teams and manages their performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Fosters a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and accountability.
- Defines clear project scope and objectives while actively managing scope changes and ensures alignment of all stakeholders with project expectations.
- Creates and maintains project schedules, monitors progress and manages potential schedule risks.
- Implements necessary adjustments to ensure project timelines are met.
- Coordinates with resource managers to allocate the necessary personnel, equipment, and materials required for project execution.
- Develops and monitors project budgets, tracks expenses, and ensures adherence to financial constraints.
- Shares budget status with stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Identifies potential project risks, assesses their impact, and develops mitigation and contingency plans throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, a related IT field, or a Business Degree.
- Having a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is required, and additional certification will be seen as an advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Project Management as a Project Manager. Candidates with experience in the banking sector will be preferred.
- A proven track record of direct involvement in successful banking projects.
