Requirements Engineer

Project

In this project you would join a large international team working on the development of hemodialysis medical device. You would support the development team in software requirements engineering. Your success will help to faster delivery of the hemodialysis devices into the market, that improves the quality of life of every patient, every day.

Work

For this role we are looking for a person who will create and manage software requirements using state-of-the-art development methods and tools to develop safe and reliable medical devices.

Other responsibilities would include:

• Specify, manage, and maintain software requirements
• Derive requirements in a systems engineering context
• Train and coach development teams in requirements engineering
• Moderate development meetings for joint requirements derivation
• Ensure traceability of requirements
• Conduct requirement reviews and track acceptance criteria
• Update requirements per change management process
• Improve methods, processes, and tools proactively
• Support the development of processes and internal standards

We are looking for a person with the following experience:

• Several years of practical experience in software requirements engineering in an agile environment
• Knowledge of functional safety requirements in software development
• Advantageous: knowledge of embedded systems/software
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Polarion, Doors)
• Familiarity with standards and FDA guidelines for software (e.g., IEC62304, IEC60601, IEC61508, ISO26262, DO-178)
• Advantageous: basic programming skills in C/C++
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
